Cape Peninsula & Pinguins
Visit the Pinguin colony in Simonstown and head down to cape of good hope, with a gourmet wine tasting on the way.
After pickup from our hostel we start the day in the historic bo kaap where where you get to experience the historc and beautiful colourful houses and local cape malay flavours. From here we head towards the famous pinguin colony in Simonstown, where you get to see the jackass pinguins in their natural African environment, from here we head south to visit Cape of good hope and ingulf in the beauty of nature and a tastefully locally prepared picnic full of African flavores, take a dip in the tidal pool or a stroll down the beautiful beach.
Keep your eyes open for the austridges, tortoise and baboons roaming the national park, enjoy the indiginus fynbos at Cape Point, and hike up to the old light house, and look out in the horizon for the southern right whales, and take a hike around the stunning nature surrounding you. To cool down after all the impressions we head to Noordhoeks Long Beach, to taste some fine South African Wine, after we head beack through the picturesque Chapmas peak drive, and stop briefly in Houtbay harbour, before heading back, to see if we can spot some cape fur seals.
